这个assignment主要是要让我们怎样去玩字形的变化和effect

左边第一个部分的是一把spanner 在开着一台机器的螺丝

这里有分为两个部分

一部份分为一个物体 （spanner)

另一部份分为字的部分也就是机器还有螺丝 

你们可以看到当spanner在开螺丝时 然后螺丝的部分就会散开

右边的部份是一架大炮车和一座大厦

当大炮车炸那一座大厦的墙

墙壁的部份就会飞出很多的碎片

 

碎片的部份我用了灰色作为颜色effect

这样看起来碎片的部份就会慢慢掉落

Body Art

Body art is art made on, with, or consisting of, the human body. The most common forms of body art are tattoos and body piercings, but other types include scarification, branding, scalpelling, shaping (for example tight-lacing of corsets), full body tattoo and body painting.

More extreme body art can involve things such as mutilation or pushing the body to its physical limits. For example, one of Marina Abramović's works involved dancing until she collapsed from exhaustion, while one of Dennis Oppenheim's better-known works saw him lying in the sunlight with a book on his chest, until his skin, excluding that covered by the book, was badly sunburned. It can even consist of the arrangement and dissection of preserved bodies in an artistic fashion, as in the case of the plastinated bodies used in the travelling Body Worlds exhibit.

Body art is also a sub-category of performance art, in which artists use or abuse their own body to make their particular statements.

Type as Image也算是一种Typographic.

这是我用各种不同的材料排成材料的名称

然后用相机拍下来

虽然拍出来的效果不是这么的理想

有些暗了一点，有些也亮了一些

我也用了adobe photoshop 把照片调亮和调暗

虽然在这里同样的可以学到排版

甚至也可以增加到自己拍摄的哪 一方面

我选了一个叫 Parchment 的字形

做出了一个月亮的形状

让这个设计有点类似像罗马的感觉

在月亮下面我放了设计这个字形的作者

和作者的资料

给他整体看起来像一个奖杯

虽然这个设计看起来很简单

 但是在这里我学到怎么去用字形做出一个设计

还有排版的方面

What is Art History?

Many students do not get a chance to study art history until they take a college course, so art history may be a new field of study for you. Even though you are new to analyzing the visual arts, the skills you have learned in other fields will serve you well in this discipline. If you have ever analyzed a poem or developed an understanding of a historical period, you are prepared to think and write like an art historian. You must still make an argument about something, but in this case you will use art (instead of, say, dialogue from a play) to build and defend your argument.

Although art historians vary in their approaches to art, there are a few common approaches that form the backbone of the field. The following handout describes these approaches briefly and lets you know what you might need to do tackle a paper assignment in this field. Just remember: there is more than one way of doing art history. Understanding your instructor’s approach to art will help you meet his or her expectations in your writing.

What is Typography?

Simply put typography is the art of print. In our daily lives we are constantly surrounded by it. Typography includes greeting cards, books, posters, newspapers, just about anything you can imagine. As simple as it may seem typography subtly combines communicative and artistic elements to create a print both pleasing and easy to read.
 

Clear communication and good design

A small font or one that is fuzzy is obviously hard to read which makes the intended message difficult to understand. Good typography is not only clear and legible but easy and pleasant to read. Typographers achieve this by selecting the right fonts, lettering and print types.

A typographer also makes sure that the right lettering design has been chosen to convey the intended effect of the print. For example newspapers, being a source of news and facts, typically have a straightforward, black print fonts, while on the other hand wedding invitations are more ornate and elegant in accord with the happy occasion they announce.

The world of typography

Typography is an enormous field that has both digital and physical applications. Jobs in this field include everything from graphic designers who choose type and position them on the page to type designers that craft letter styles. Modern day typography includes more and more digital work related to the internet and other computer-related projects.

For print lettering to be successful it must complete two basic roles: it must clearly communicate the intended message and do so in a visually effective way that takes into account the design element. A print type that can do those two things is readable, artistic and attractive.

What is Graffiti?

The difference between art and graffiti is that art is done on property with the permission of the property owner. Art is a creative and productive form of expression.  Graffiti is a crime.

Graffiti is writing, drawing, or symbols applied to any surface without the permission of the property owner.To create graffiti, vandals use a variety of materials, such as automotive car paint, spray paint, crayons and permanent ink. Etching surfaces is another way vandals destroy property.

Graffiti can occur anywhere, however, some of the more popular targets include:

• public and private buildings
• recreational facilities
• Canada Post mailboxes
• playground equipment
• bridges and overpasses
• public transit property and vehicles.

Graffiti is an act of vandalism that places a significant burden on the Municipality’s budget.  Graffiti may also cause local property values to decrease and can result in a heightened fear of crime in the community.
